Drawing in the Light

Inspired by the videos by Operation Underground Railroad, "Finding Light in the Darkness", I have decided to use my artistic abilities to benefit this amazing organization. I am offering personalized pencil portrait sketches on 8 1/2 x 11 paper in exchange for contributions to O.U.R. You may email me a photo or photos of the sketches you would like done, and I can let you know if they would work well. (If it isn't a clear photo, it probably will not make a very good sketch.) No professional photos, please, unless written authorization from photographer. I ask that you contribute $30 per face sketched, to O.U.R. Maximum of 3 faces per sketch. For example, a portrait of a child with his dog would be 2 faces, equaling a $60 contribution. If you have any questions or just want to get some ideas using a compilation of photos, please email me at [email protected]. I'm trying to not spend any time doing paperwork other than sketching, so please only submit donations directly to O.U.R. You can email me a pre-paid mailing label addressed to you when I've finished your sketch(es). (USPS charges around $7 for a flat rate priority mail envelope right now.) I am doing the sketches in the order received; usually about 5 per week.

While entering your contribution, you can select the amount you wish to donate and dedicate it to me, Karen Smith, at [email protected]. There, you will have the option of putting a personal message regarding the sketch or sketches that you had done, or would like done. If you just wish to contribute, but are not interested in a sketch at this time, that's fine too!
